In early October 2005, while we were visiting Colin's parent's, we hiked up Pen-Y-Ghent in the Yorkshire Dales. The low cloud added to the beauty of the countryside and stone walled drove road.  There weren't many people on the popular Three Peaks hike, just us and the sheep, and the occasional cow.
