During
the first Nor'easter of the year, which dumped 18 inches on northern New
England, we decided it was appropriate weather for venturing out to find and
chop down a Christmas Tree. At Nichol's farm on the road to Lyme we
found the one we wanted - not too tall, nice and full with a generally good
shape - and proceeded to cut it down and drag it back to the car. We
strapped it on the roof, took it home and decorated it. Many of the
ornaments we collected while traveling around Europe.
We woke up on Sunday morning to find our drive and yard covered in snow -
enough to make it tricky to walk.
