Since New England is famous for its fall colors, we weren't surprised
that our new home was invaded by thousands of ageing residents of New
Jersey (aka "leaf peepers") in late September and October. They
didn't seem to get much further than the gift shops in Quechee and
Woodstock, so we enjoyed the amazing displays of ungreen foliage
relatively undisturbed while walking in Marsh Billings Rockefeller NHP
and up Mt. Kearsage .
