On our last day in Grasmere, before we traveled to Windermere, we walked around Grasmere, along Loughrigg Terrace (the picture below is of Grasmere from Loughrigg Terrace), over Red Bank and down to Loughrigg Tarn.
It was a beautiful day (an improvement from the rain earlier in the week), so we sat by the lake and enjoyed the famous view of the Langdale Pikes beyond the lake. After three days hiking it was good to do a gentle walk and just sit by the tarn and watch the baby coots playing in the water.
