On one of the first days warm enough to get the sap running, we went to Bragg Farm in Montpelier, VT to see the first batch of maple syrup boiled down from gallons of sugary sap.

We tried "sugar on snow" - warm maple syrup drizzled on ice-cream served with a dough nut and a pickle.
